The diverse cultural life of a large county town like Bühl is very much influenced by the facilities the town offers and the activities of its cultural societies. The Media Library, the NEUER MARKT Community Centre, the Municipal School of Music and Performing Arts, the Institute of Town History and the Museum provide both citizens and visitors with a wide range of cultural opportunities. In addition, there is now a strong influence on the calendar in Bühl from festivals and cultural events. The international Bühl Bluegrass Festival, the Bühl Summer of Culture and the traditional plum festival are held every year. When the jesters take over during the carnival at the beginning of each year, the traditional Shrove Tuesday celebrations set the tone for the cultural life of our town. And it is not only music lovers who look forward to the Bühl Jazztival, the Novemberlicht and Bühl Music Competition that take place every two years. The festivals and a series of individual events are organised by the town's cultural office in cooperation with different institutions. This also applies to the art exhibitions that are regularly held in Friedrichsbau.
