Bühl City Museum - a different museum experience
The City of Bühl has a turbulent history - just like their museum. After an odyssey that lasted nearly a hundred years, beginning in 1910, the municipal collection has now found its final home in an old bakery at 11 Schwanenstraße, which has been renovated in an exemplary manner. It is fitting that this building goes back to 1668/69 and is the second oldest dwelling in Bühl. Perfect for a city museum!
The multifaceted history of Bühl is brought back to life, covering town history, economic history, lithography, photography and a planned fourth section on religious history. With its illustrative exhibits, well researched and easy to read text panels and interactive stations, a visit to the Bühl Town Museum is an entertaining and exciting experience for both young and old.
Please, you must touch! - the green hand concept
The green hand that appears everywhere on drawers, screens, sound recordings or cabinets, expressly invites visitors who are curious and hungry for knowledge to lift, press, touch and try out the exhibits. Here we can really learn how life actually felt.
The bright, modern annex to the Town Museum offers the ideal forum for all kinds of different exhibitions. Find out about our current show.
