Anruf-Linien-Taxi (Shuttle Taxi)
The Anruf-Linien-Taxi (ALT), or shuttle taxi, supplements the bus routes in the evening and at weekends. The ALT shuttle taxi is available for all Bühl City routes (Nos. 271-275) and for the 263 route (Bühl-Altschweier-Bühlertal), 266 (Bühl-Ottersweier-Unzhurst) and 268 (Bühl-Vimbuch Schwarzach-Lichtenau). The service operates according to a fixed schedule with stops, but in contrast to the bus service, only operates on request by telephone. The telephone booking can be made several days before the actual journey, but no later than 30 minutes before – call the ALT phoneline: 07223/3319.
Unless an advanced booking has been made, passengers are not entitled to travel! Journeys from the city centre always depart from the appropriate bus stop at the Central Bus Station (ZOB). Taxis only set down at stops marked with an A in the timetable. Passengers may only alight at these stops. When returning to the city centre, the journey may only start at a stop for which there is a departure time in the schedule. Such stops are identified with an “E”. When returning to the city centre, passengers may only alight at the central bus station. In principle, a journey by ALT is charged at the KVV (Karlsruhe Transport Association) rate. All types of KVV ticket may be used. Tickets should be purchased in advance. If necessary, one way tickets for one or two zones are available in the ALT itself. For a supplement of 1 EUR, passengers may be conveyed directly to an address (max. distance from the normal stop: 1 km). The ALT service is usually operated by a small vehicle (taxi). As a limited number of vehicles are available for the ALT operation, a large number of individual telephone bookings made at short notice could lead to capacity constraints. In any case, group bookings should be made as early as possible.
Normal taxi operations remain unaffected.
