Bühl - a city with history
The history of Bühl can be traced back to the 13th century. Bühl was first mentioned in a document as far back as 1283, but finds from the Stone and Bronze Age demonstrate that this region has a much older, very moving history, that still lives on in many buildings. From the granting of the right to hold a market in 1403, to the acquisition of the town charter in 1835 and designation as a county town in 1973, Bühl has developed from an introspective administrative town into a dynamic business location and resource centre. This development can be clearly seen and heard at the City Museum in Schwanenstraße.
