Bühl - a city with international flair
For many years, the city has maintained partnerships in four different countries and in the German State of Saxony. Partnerships serve to promote mutual understanding, reduce prejudice and strengthen solidarity between different peoples and thus ultimately encourage peace.
The cordial partnerships we enjoy with Villefranche-sur-Saone in France, Schkeuditz in Saxony, the Rayon Kalarasch in Moldova, Vilafranca del Pernedès in Spain, the district of Weitenung with Mattsee in Austria and the district of Vimbuch with Mommenheim in the Alsace are a permanent addition to Bühl culture. Furthermore, the administration maintains friendly contacts with the Alsatian town of Haguenau.
As a cosmopolitan city in the heart of Europe, Bühl is also a "second home" to many people who were not born here but have chosen to live in Bühl and the surrounding region.
What makes Bühl special for many visitors from home and abroad are the traditional festivals, such as the Bühl Plum Festival, wine festivals in various districts around Bühl, the carnival and numerous club events and music festivals that are celebrated throughout the year.
